New Work

08 September 2004

Though you might not be able to tell from the amount of work I've done on the site recently, I've been busy. From Freelance work, to contracts and working on a new design for the site I've had my hands full.

Jean Lukens Gallery

One of the Projects I've recently completed was www.jeanlukens.com. It is a portfolio site for a local artist, and it was a great change of pace from working business sites and web applications. I enjoyed being able to be more creative and push the design a little and the client was excellent to work with. It is rare to have a client who knows what she wants and knows how explain it. Especially since she was relative new to websites and the beginning of the project was mostly spent bringing her up to speed on what a website can be.

I've also added it to my portfolio section.

Portfolio Updated

12 February 2004

I've just recently updated my portfolio section. I've added some of the sites that I've worked on over the past few years. They include a screen shots, a brief description of the company and some notes on what I did for the site. I've also added a page for some of my graphics design work.

Hope you enjoy.

End of Year Redesign

22 December 2003

I hope the coming New Year finds everyone well. For me it has seen the rebirth of my personal site.

While I've had the domain name neoAlbion for several years, I didn't do a lot of work with it until this past year, when I put up a resume/portfolio site.

Reading and digesting the words and layouts, over the past few months, of people like Jeffery Zeldman, David Shea, Dan Cederholm and Eric Myer and others, inspired a new redesign.

Take a look around, be sure to kick the tires a bit, though contents may settle during shipping.

Currently this site is tested to work well in IE 5/6 Win, Opera 7, Mozilla and Netscape 7. I don't currently have access to a Mac, so if anyone has problems accessing it with Safari or IE Mac, please let me know.

After the Holiday break I'll describe a little more on my thought process behind the redesign.

Happy Holidays.

Photo Album Update

20 December 2003

Watsonville, California
Emmigrant Gap

I've just updated my photo album with pictures from my trip to Ohio this summer as well as photos from my backpacking trip earlier this year.

As some of you may know I'm working towards my pilot license (albeit slowly), flying across the country in a small aircraft was amazing.
